Today is the day that we get strong winds and persistent rain! Our pool is beginning to overflow. If we got the 20+ inches of rain they are getting over at the beaches, we’d have standing water in our house, no question. BTW, one of the hardest hit areas is Melbourne Beach where we vacationed this summer. And sis-in-law Laura’s neighborhood outside of Melbourne.

Innit weird? Yesterday and today have been the most absolutely perfect days in NYC: Nights in the 60s, days in the mid-70s with no humidity and crystal clear sky. They don’t come that often so we are enjoying it — now even more so.
